Cocktail Hour: Jam Drink + Bacon Wrapped Dates

Two recipes that go perfectly together and are so easy and so delicious. Just what you need for your holiday parties!

Inspired by one of our favorite restaurants in Telluride, Colorado, the Jam Drink is the perfect holiday bevy, not to mention you probably have all the ingredients on hand. The drink includes Topo Chico, tequila or gin, fresh lime juice, and a spoonful of your favorite jam. My favorite is raspberry, but for a little something spicier, you could always add chili jam. When using a jam that is tart or spicy, I recommend a dash of simple syrup!

Recipe:
1 shot of tequila or gin
Ice
½ fresh lime squeezed
Top off with Topo Chico
Once mixed add spoonful of jam and enjoy!

Now for the Bacon Wrapped Dates. Mackenzie and Madi's grandmother used to make these for them, and something about the smell and warm flavor feels so homey. It is also a perfect recipe for fall cocktail hour!

Ingredients:
Bacon
Dates
Marcona almonds (We like the rosemary ones for an extra kick.)

Recipe:
Pit the marcona almonds and replace the seed with a marcona almond.
Wrap the almond in ½ piece of thick cut bacon.
Use a toothpick to hold all the yummies together.
Place on lined baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes or until bacon is cooked through and crispy.
Let cool and enjoy!
